What we offer
Services
The home is registered to meet the needs of older people and older people diagnosed with dementia and metal health problems. We have fairly strict criteria for the admission of new residents with dementia and mental health problems.
Clearly we have to consider the residents that have no dementia, residents with moderate dementia could impinge on the quality of life of those not suffering from a similar disability.
We feel that by using our admission criteria both sets of residents are served well, residents with early dementia can be placed in an environment where the majority have similar mental faculties to themselves and the other residents are not being upset by inappropriate behaviour. There are plenty of communal areas in the home so residents are able to find their own space.
Residents enjoy home-cooked meals, engaging activities, and comfortable communal spaces where they can socialize and relax.
Care
We strive to provide the highest quality of care in a tranquil and peaceful environment. Individual Plans of Care are set out for each new resident offering continuing assessments and regular updates.
We aim to provide a lifestyle to satisfy social, cultural and recreational interests and to help our residents exercise choice and control over their lives.
Our mature and friendly staff show professionalism at all times. However from their years of experience working with the elderly they are extremely dedicated and their work is their vocation.
The Home provides wholesome food offering a balanced diet which is provided fresh each day by our fully trained kitchen staff. Our kitchen has been awarded five stars.
We do offer trial visits to prospective residents who are welcome to spend a day at the home to get to know some of our staff and to gain a feeling first hand, of what life may be like at The Lodge.
Accommodation
We love maintaining a cosy atmosphere, resembling a traditional home rather than an institution. The staff members cultivate personal connections, treating residents like family and provide individual care.
